Discovered at the age of 15, singing songs to herself on a platform at Hammersmith tube station, Shola Ama went on to have two Top 5 hits in 1997 (including this cover of the Randy Crawford classic) and walked away with the best female Brit award a year later. While her second album featured collaborations with the likes of Stargate, David Foster and Babyface, sales slumped and Ama battled drug addiction. Since overcoming her problems she has kept things more low-key, cropping up on tracks by the likes of Giggs and the Pirates, and forming a collective called A-List with her sister and the grime eccentric Wiley in 2010.
