Croatia’s iconic celebration of bass music culture Outlook returns for its 8th year this summer from September 2nd – 6th. Taking place at the stunning Fort Punta Christo on the Adriatic coastline near Pula, Outlook has become synonymous with spearheading the region’s thriving festival scene, uniting music lovers from across the world for an unrivalled adventure under the sizzling sun and stars. The first round of artists for Outlook will be revealed at the end of January.

The guests for Outlook’s annual London Launch Party have just be announced. Taking place at The Coronet Theatre, Friday 30th January features an incredible array of headliners and support drawn from right across the bass music, drum and bass, hip hop, grime and jungle spectrum, with undiluted lyrical action flowing through the night. Some of High Focus Records’ leading names join forces for this special show, with headliners The Four Owls joined by Edward Scissortongue and Onoe Caponeo. Legendary MC Wiley takes to the stage, joined by Andy C and Friction fave Randall and The Bug Ft. Flowdan & Manga who fuse grindcore, industrial, metal, hip-hop, dub and jazz to mesmerising effect.

Grime specialists The Originators are joined by the huge Kiwi producer and DJ, P Money. Outlook continues to champion the genre which goes from strength to strength, with grime crew Ogz also starring, along with Footise, one half of the brilliant Newham Generals and a huge festival fave. Larger than life artist Big Narstie is joined by Rinse FM’s Logan Sama; then Croatia regulars Iration Steppas join dubstep heavyweight Skeptical along with Kenny Ken, Benton, V.I.V.E.K, Cern, Kromestar and many more.

This is the first chance of the year to get a taste of Outlook, looking ahead to September’s celebration of bass music culture in Croatia.

Outlook Festival is the largest Bass music and Soundsystem Culture festival in Europe, featuring the biggest names from the most vibrant and cutting edge dance scenes around.

When we talk about bass music we don’t mean the bastardised commercial version currently being sold to children, we mean underground dancefloor music, whether it be house, techno, dubstep, reggae, dub, hiphop, garage, grime, electronica. . . . . . as Duke Ellington put it “There are two kinds of music. Good music, and the other kind.”
