Dub Smugglers Sound System have already become one of the most popular Reggae and Dub acts in Manchester and is continuing to snowball at a staggering rate.

After performing on the Mungos Hifi Boat Party and various stages at Outlook 2011, Dub Smugglers were rebooked for Outlook 2012 (and then 2013), recorded tracks with Super Four (Trojan Sound System) & Kuntri Ranks (Extra Love) and continued to perform alongside the finest names in Dub and Reggae including: Channel One, Mungos Hifi, Trojan Sound System, Iration Steppas and Tippa Irie.

With access to multiple studios, a woodwork shop and a wicked crew, the guys consistently make plans to go further, harder and spread the vibes! With the digital label fully launched (summer 2011) and the physical label now established (spring 2013) with the release of Vibes for the People / Shine Eye Gal Remix 12″ (Double A side), the crew now have release two under their belts (Thanks & Praise / Rasta Praise 12″) with no view of stopping! With plenty in store, and some big names visiting the studio (including Horace Andy, Daddy Freddy & Parly B) you can expect wax so hot it might even melt!

The Sound System was first constructed in its minor form in 2008. Over the past 5 years there have been adaptions, evolutions and sound revolutions. It’s been a massive learning curve getting the system into the conceptual art form that you find it in today. With the system constantly being improved, we’re not fair off being on the brink of modern sound technology.
